15 EURO PPD GERMANY --------------------------------- CROM´s homepage: Click here Reviews: This is not music. It's an historical essay on the cultural evolution of metal from the 70's to the end of the 80's. One 30+ minute collage of music and words that basically recaps the history of the heavy during the cocaine years on earth. I think that you would have to be a rather refined fan of the genre in order to fully appreciate this work of incomparable genius. If you have a functioning brain, have not irreparably damaged your mnemonic faculties, possess a sense of humor, and like everything from Slayer to Steely Dan, then you may well be amused and even amazed by what you hear here. I'VE ALWAYS SAID THAT COCAINE WARS IS THE PAUL´S BOUTIQUE OF METAL!!! (Stacey - Green Eggs and Jam) Black-death-speed metal in arctic barbarian packaging. On the cover is a half-naked warrior chick riding a polar bear and inside are renderings of our Vikingesque heroes and there's another nice sketch of one of them snorting lines of white powder off of an ancient dagger. All this and more helps to make for some of the funnest schtick-metal you ever heard before you even get it in the player. Holy Robert E. Howard! . . . the songs (30 of them in 36 minutes) aren't bad either! A lot of "where have I heard that riff before?" silliness and then total Slayer meets Spinal Tap at an SCA convention, punctuated by humorous bits of sampling and programming (even including a bit of Kraftwerk's Trans Europe Express!). Haw, haw, haw! This is the most brilliant piece of tounge-in-cheek metal I've heard since Godheadsilo's "Share the Fantasy" and Crom goes a hell of a lot further with the whole thing than they did (emphasis on the "hell"). Shee-at. I'll keep this one. Cut the sleeves off your shirt and go rent River's Edge. Crom Rulz! "Is this a joke?" - Glenn Danzig (when he was shown the Crom album)

THE BRATS - "s/t" 7": THE BRATS are the new band of the singer of the deceased
SURF-NAZIS MUST DIE and because I really love SURF-NAZIS MUST DIE, I'm happy that at
least their former shouter continues to amaze me with a healthy dose of well
deserved hardcore. THE BRATS aren't as thrashy as SURF-NAZIS MUST DIE, but their fast,
powerful and entirely raging, pissed off old school hardcore totally rocks the little ghetto
I'm living in with forceful sounds akin to early BLACK FLAG. The lyrics are more on the personal
side of things, but the words are offered in a really snotty Henry Garfield (S.O.A, BLACK FLAG;
later, this guy became famous under this real name "Henry Rollins".) meets Keith Morris (CIRCLE
JERKS) style and that's more than just nice, too. I shit you not, these 8 bombardments
would've fit perfectly on one of the first BLACK FLAG records, so if you like the FLAG
as much as me, you'll have to purchase this masterpiece without delay!!
(Warprayer #145, August 2004)

Die SURF NAZIS MUST DIE sind ja leider nicht mehr. Aber Saenger Florian hat gluecklicherweise
eine neue Baustelle gefunden. Musikalisch gehen THE BRATS ebenfalls in die fruehe 80er
U.S. Hardcore Richtung, haben aber, im Vergleich zu den SNMD, mehr Rotz und Punk im Programm.
Neben flotten Knuepplern wie ''You don't know me'', ''Gettin drunk'' oder ''Antipopper'', gibt es
schoenem, festem Faltcover. Limitiert auf 500 stueck. Tipp!

This is an amazing 7" on clear vinyl with multicolored spots and streaks that will go down
as one of the LV's greatest records. The A side features covers of Crippled Youth, Cockney Rejects,
Intensified Chaos and Tongue Avulsion. Tight, great hardcore/spazzcore/grind whatevercore.
Another reason to be proud of the Lehigh Valley! Songs were recorded between 1998 and 2000.
Side B was recorded live at the Easton Fest in 2000 and as stated in the liner notes has a
"ridiculously awful recording". Pretty much unlistenable, but nonetheless has some entertainment
value. The Ultimate Warriors have also just released an LP, "Our Gimmick Is Wrestling" on the
new LV label Doppelganger Records. There are 10+ different colors of vinyl available for
this record that was 2 years in the making.
(F.O.E. #416, June 2003)

THE ULTIMATE WARRIORS - "Easton Fest revealed" 7": Utterly crazy power violence which is played
at the speed of light! While the first side contains 9 unreleased tracks (including cover songs by
CRIPPLED YOUTH, COCKNEY REJECTS, INTENSIFIED CHAOS and TONGUE AVULSION), the flipside brings THE
ULTIMATE WARRIORS' - http://ultimatewarriors.trackstarrecords.com - entire (!!) noise (yes, noise!!)
of the "Easton Fest" gig which was recorded through the vocal mics!! Get this "true warrior power"
at any cost, but act right now as this EP is limited to just 520 copies!!!
(Warprayer #74, April 2003)

Strange one here. One side is grindy, goofy thrash attack. A very silly CHARLES BRONSON,
perhaps? Four originals plus CRIPPLED YOUTH, INTENSIFIED CHAOS, TONGUE AVULSION, and a hilarious
COCKNEY REJECTS cover. Lyrical topics range from pro wrestling to Lybian hit squads. Side two,
recorded live at the Easton Fest of 2000, is almost unlistenable - all you can decipher is garbled
noise coming through the vocal mics and in-between-song rants: it was probably a beautiful
mess to witness but will probably not get repeated spins on your turntable. Comes on clear
colour spotted vinyl that looks good enough to eat.
(MaximumRockNRoll #247, December 2003)

Pennsylvania´s bad boys of wrasslin´-core let loose a strange one here on a German label...
various studio recordings get splattered all over side one here, unleashing a slam-fest of moshing
fastcore... west bay powerviolence styles anyone? Included also are some cool covers of
CRIPPLED YOUTH, COCKNEY REJECTS, INTENSIFIED CHAOS and TONGUE AVULSION. Side two is a incredibly
bad live recording, picked up only the vocal mics, so all you get is growling, screaming and
"singing"... rarely can you hear the band blazing away in the background. Crazy!

"Are You Ready For Some Darkness?"

this side: Turbonegro
that side: Bela B. & Denim Girl

released 12/2001
6", clear vinyl
21 made, handnumbered
spraypainted solid plastic cover

In June 2008 several copies were offered on ebay and messageboards. These were not pressed by ZHENGAYA RECORDS.
Someone else made up these counterfeits. They are easy to recognize: they are regular 7"es, not 6"es.
They seem to have paper covers, the eye-logo is missing on the front cover and a different font was used.
They also come with a sticker on the PVC protection sleeve. A photo can be seen HERE.
